Limited to 10 licensees

The Pilot Program

A discounted route to the developer license for the first 10 organizations willing to build early and share structured implementation data. Pilot status changes price and data terms — the underlying commercial agreement is the same one every Developer Licensee signs.

Pilot license

$2,318USD · one-time

$2,318 up front, $1,500 for your first registered home, then the standard $2,500 per home after that.

  • 36 implementation plates: the ICEGUARD System (ENG-001–012) and the P01 Reference Residence package
  • Unlimited registered parcels, five team seats
  • $1,500 for your first home only — every home after reverts to the standard $2,500 rate
  • Project workspace: milestones, tasks, issues, files
  • Funding-readiness screening included
  • Structured data sharing with BUW for 24 months, with publication rights as described in your agreement
Sign in to apply

Applying requires an account. Admission is capped at 10 licensees and is not guaranteed.

Passport renewal after the first year is $199 per year, same as every other licensee. Introductory pricing — licensees who join before third-party test results are published keep today’s prices.

How it works

Apply, Get Admitted, Build Early

  1. STEP 1

    Apply

Submit the Pilot application from your account, including your estimated parcel count and data-sharing acknowledgment.

  2. STEP 2

BUW admits within the 10-slot cap

Applications are reviewed in order; admission is final once a slot is confirmed.

  3. STEP 3

    Sign the commercial agreement

The same agreement every Developer Licensee signs — Pilot status changes price and data terms, not the contract itself.

  4. STEP 4

    Receive a secure invoice

A Stripe invoice for $2,318 is released once the agreement is effective.

  5. STEP 5

    Build and report

Register parcels at the Pilot rate and share the structured data described in your agreement’s Pilot schedule.

Pilot status is a pricing and data-sharing term, not a different product

Pilot Licensees sign the same commercial license agreement as every other Developer Licensee; the Pilot schedule only changes the License Fee, the first-home Parcel Fee, and the data you agree to share with BUW. ICEGUARD is a conceptual design that has not been built, tested, or validated; your Architect and Engineers of Record adapt, verify, and seal every project. ICEGUARD prepares documentation — only IBHS designates homes, and insurance discounts are not guaranteed and vary by insurer and state.
